SOLAR ENERGY

INFORMATION OF SOLAR ENERGY:

Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the sun that is harnessed using a range of ever-evolving technologies such as solar heating, photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, solar architecture, molten salt power plants and artificial photosynthesis.
It is an important source of renewable energy and its technologies are broadly characterized as either passive solar or active solar depending on how they capture and distribute solar energy or convert it into solar power.

TIPES OF SOLAR ENERGY:

Passive solar energy: this type of energy takes advantage of the heat of the sun without the need for mechanical mechanisms or systems.
Thermal solar energy: it produces hot water of low temperature for sanitary use and heating. 
Photovoltaic Solar Energy: it produces electricity through semiconductor plates that are altered by solar radiation.
Solar thermal power: produces electricity with a conventional thermodynamic cycle from a fluid heated at high temperature (thermal oil).
Hybrid solar energy: it combines solar energy with the energy obtained from a traditional thermal power plant, from biomass, wind energy or fossil fuels.

THE ELECTRIC POWER PLANT:

Electricity is produced at a electric power plant. Some fuel source, such as coal, oil, natural gas, or nuclear energy produces heat. The heat is used to boil water to create steam. The steam under high pressure is used to spin a turbine.
